HOLE 9 DESCRIPTION
The closing hole on the Glevum is a lovely par 4 that provides two choices from the tee. Laying up short of the ditch that crosses the fairway will leave something around 120 yards into the green. If you’re feeling brave, taking on the ditch and leaving a shorter second is definitely an option, but it’ll need a centred strike to stay dry. Accuracy is as important as length here as the fairway narrows the further you go, with trees guarding both sides. The approach is played to a green that sits slightly across you and bunkering is the primary defence to the left and right. Save your two best swings for last and you may just finish with a three. High time for a pint I’d say.
