Job Summary

Part of the Senior Management Team, reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for managing and delivering the highest standard of customer service to all our Bar and Restaurant Customers. As Bar and Restaurant Manager, you will also be responsible for managing the financial performance of the department, working with the Head Chef to ensure that its offering is right and to develop new sales opportunities. You will line manage a team of Bar Supervisors and Bar Hosts and you will also be required to work closely with the Events Manager, Head Chef, and other Managers to ensure the smooth operation of the Bar and Restaurant as well as the events and functions held at the Complex.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience




  • 3+ years of experience of management in a Hospitality environment, preferably in a Food & Beverage setting

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Hospitality industry

  • Either holds, or willing to hold, a 2003 Licencing Act Personal Licence

  • Knowledge of using EPOS systems (both Front and Back of House)

  • Enthusiastic, well presented and customer focussed with excellent organisational skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Full management of the Front of House operation of the Bar and Restaurant

  • Managing the Bar and Restaurant staff including roster management

  • To establish and embed a strong standard of customer service

  • Working on the bar as and when business requirements dictate including covering for holidays and for some events

  • Ensuring supplier orders are placed correctly and in a timely manner

  • Stock ordering and stock checks including liaising with the Finance Manager for the quarterly external stock valuation

  • Full ownership on managing the F&B area of the Epos system (till updates, price changes, product updates etc)

  • Building customer relationships and upselling all areas of the business

  • To constantly look for opportunities to develop the Bar and Restaurant offering • Assisting the Head Chef with menu planning and development ideas

  • Liaising with the Events Manager with the requirements for upcoming events or functions

  • To ensure serving of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages adhere to Weights and Measures compliance

  • Ensuring the Bar Team is competent to complete daily financial checks

  • To check and approve any supplier invoices for the Finance Manager to process and pay

  • To meet regularly with suppliers to ensure the best cost price is negotiated

  • To cover for the Events Manager during periods of annual leave

  • Flexible availability as this role will involve weekends and evenings

  • Permanent Full Time (40 hours)

  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends

  • Additional holiday for long service

  • Discounted meals and shop purchases, free golf membership and driving range use

up to £27,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Brickhampton Court Golf Complex is looking for a Bar and Restaurant Manager to join the Senior Management Team to help develop the Food and Beverage department of the Complex. The successful candidate will be joining Brickhampton at an exciting time with plans to redevelop, refurbish and relaunch our bar and restaurant facilities.
